If my French partner travels to Dhaka on 1st Jan 2017 , he needs to stay at least 15 days to marry me but which date should we notify the marriage register, here it says we must do it 14 days prior to marriage. Do we need three people in total (two witnesses and a guardian ? How much are the fees without any hidden costs ? The passport size photo will be based on Bangladesh measurements? In order to get a single status certificate for myself can I get it in less than a month , the link says it takes one -two months? Also the price can go more than 30,000 . Please advice , thank you

Ans: In case of foreigners, he must have to stay 14 days before marriage. And he must have to apply to marriage registrar when he reaches dhaka on working day and at working hour, definitely 14 days prior to marriage.
Q. Do we need three people in total?
Ans: yes three, all are witnesses. No muslim marriage rules apply here.
Q. How much are the fees without any hidden costs ?
Ans: Cost is low or high depending on who is working for you.
Q.The passport size photo will be based on Bangladesh measurements?
Ans: Yes.
Q. For Bangladeshi, to collect unmarried certificate it actually takes two-three months maximum. One month if in case your luck is good. Cost is BDT30000 only if you do it by yourself. Lawyers fee is different cause he/she will arrange the whole procedure with all risks and necessary steps and documentation.You also have to make an single status certificate for your foreign partner if he can not collect such from his native country.
