One of my relatives (male), who is still degree student, was forced to get married on February, 2014 after a girl emotionally blackmailed him fearing that she might commit suicide. In the marriage document (kabin nama), she claimed her as only “17 years of old” and “unmarried”. However gradually within one year, it was learnt that the girl had got married two times before it. My brother managed to talk with her ex- husbands and children as well. In the meantime, a baby boy was born.
On this development, he sent his wife to her mother’s house and, also after three months, issued divorce letter three times so far. But she or her family did not reply to these and we were ready to compensate her with money. But they were found silent and reportedly tried to ‘get the girl married to another one’. Being nearly nine to 10 months without any response, she filed a false dowry case against our brothers. The hearing date is scheduled on August 31, 2016.
Would you like to advise me what steps can be taken against such false case?
